THE SCOOP:
My name is Jenna Schell, and I'm a Graphic Designer located in Edmonton, Alberta. For me, Design and the pursuit of happiness go hand-in-hand.
My graphic design story began after years of work, and a six-month overseas adventure to 'find myself'. After my time away, I returned to my work to discover something was still missing. There, I was tasked with figuring out how to alter the design of a brochure (with no pre-existing knowledge of graphic design), and I discovered I could spend hours just nudging an element into place. And so began the pursuit of my graphic design career.
I signed up for the three year Design Studies Program at Grant MacEwan College (now University). After briefly playing with the idea of taking Digital Media as my major, I settled on Illustration, and discovered a world of techniques to add to my 'design toolbox'. While I've learned a lot about illustration, my true passion lies in the print design world.
I'm currently working at a corporation as a full time designer, as well as freelancing on the side. So much design, so little time. I want to learn it all, and I've only just begun.
