The Digital Portfolio of Phoebe Lo
Phoebe Lo is a Toronto-based Visual Artist practicing in the areas of sculpture and photography. Her work employs visual language as a medium to elicit discourses among the areas of dark humor, the human condition, as well as the sublime.
Her latest works involve the construction of calligraphic images by photographically implementing bodily parts and gestures into a composition. Conceptually, Lo is involved in the corporeal experiences that are associated with the body and mind in the areas of choreography, as well as meditation in relation to the spiritual ideals surrounding traditional Chinese calligraphy.
Phoebe Lo will be joining artists from FeiMo Contemporary Calligraphy in an exchange in Milan and Florence, Italy October 24 - November 2, 2011.
